Who provides The RC Project

The RC Project is provided by RYM Property Limited, known as Race Calendar (company number 15613602). Your contract is with Race Calendar, which takes your payments. Coaching is delivered by Race Calendar's coaches, Ryan McLeod and Tom Boardman of Boardman Coaching Limited, who coaches on Race Calendar's behalf.

Athlete agreement

In this agreement, "we" and "us" means RYM Property Limited (known as Race Calendar), which provides The RC Project, and its coaching partner Boardman Coaching Limited, whose coach coaches some athletes on Race Calendar's behalf.

Coaching and payment terms

  1. Your contract for The RC Project is with RYM Property Limited, known as Race Calendar (company number 15613602), which takes your payments. Coaching is delivered by Race Calendar's coaches, including Tom Boardman of Boardman Coaching Limited, who coaches on Race Calendar's behalf.
  2. Coaching costs £125 a month, paid by debit or credit card. Payments are taken automatically from your card on the 1st of each month until you stop.
  3. If you join part way through a month, your first payment is a pro rata amount for the days left in that month, taken when you finish signing up. Your first full payment is then taken on the 1st of the next month.
  4. Card payments are handled securely by Stripe, who also email your receipts. We never see your card details. If a payment fails, Stripe automatically tries again over up to 2 weeks. If it still can't be taken, your coaching is paused until it's paid.
  5. Your monthly price is the price of your wave when you join. Prices for later waves may be different. We may change your price in future: if we do, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can stop before then without paying the usual 28 days' notice.
  6. There's no minimum term. Your coaching continues month to month until you stop.
  7. You can stop at any time by giving 28 days' notice. Message your coach or reply to any RC Project email. Your last payment is pro rata, so you only pay up to the end of your notice period.
  8. You have the right to cancel within 14 days of signing up. Because you've asked for coaching to start straight away, if you cancel in that time you only pay for the coaching provided up to the day you tell us, and we refund the rest of that payment.
  9. You can pause at any time with the intention of coming back. No payment is taken while you're paused, there's no coaching contact, and you keep your place.
  10. If you're paused for more than three months, your place is released and your health answers are deleted. You're welcome back at any time and simply fill those in again.
  11. If you'd like rehab guidance and help building back into training, that's coaching, so your partnership carries on as normal.
  12. Milestone gifts: a vest at month 1, a cap at month 3, a T-shirt at month 6, a jacket at month 9, and a £100 voucher at month 12, to spend on running kit or shoes with our online retail partner. A month means a full month of coaching from the 1st, so the part-month when you join doesn't count. Months are your total full paid months, including any earlier spells with us, and each gift is given once. Each gift is sent at the end of that month and can take a few days to process and post. Gifts are given for as long as the gift scheme runs and can't be exchanged for cash.
  13. After 12 months your coaching carries on as normal.
  14. Apart from your 14-day right to cancel, payments are not normally refundable. Exceptional circumstances are considered case by case.
  15. Training is planned to suit you, but you're responsible for training within your own limits and telling your coach about pain, illness or injury.

Training and your safety

Training at your own risk

By engaging in coaching services with The RC Project, you acknowledge and agree that participation in any training programme, coaching session, or prescribed activity is undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Endurance training and physical exercise carry an inherent risk of injury, illness, accident, or, in rare cases, serious harm. We do not accept liability for any injury, accident, loss, damage, or health issue sustained as a result of training, whether during coaching sessions or independent workouts completed as part of a prescribed plan.

Fitness to train

All athletes are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit and healthy enough to undertake physical training. By commencing coaching, you confirm that:

  • You are physically able to participate in endurance training.
  • You have sought medical advice where appropriate.
  • You have disclosed any known medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns that may affect your training.

We recommend that athletes consult a qualified medical professional before beginning any new training programme.

Duty to disclose injuries and health concerns

Athletes must inform their coach promptly of:

  • Any injuries, niggles, or persistent pain
  • Illness or changes in medical condition
  • Any symptoms that may affect safe participation in training

Failure to disclose relevant health information may increase the risk of injury. Training plans can only be adjusted, paused, or modified where accurate and timely information is provided.

We reserve the right to pause or amend training where there are concerns about athlete wellbeing.

Personal responsibility

Coaching is a collaborative process. While we provide structured programming, guidance, and support, athletes remain fully responsible for:

  • The execution of training sessions
  • Their own health and wellbeing
  • Decisions taken during training, racing, or independent activity

Your information

Your details are held securely by RYM Property Limited (Race Calendar), which is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZC121941), and handled in line with UK data protection law. Your health answers are only seen by your coaches, are used only to plan your training safely, and are deleted if you stop being coached. See our privacy policy.

Pausing and stopping

To pause

Message your coach or reply to any RC Project email. No payment is taken while you're paused and you keep your place.

To stop

Do the same and give 28 days' notice. Your last payment is pro rata, so you only pay up to the end of your notice.
