Not listed yet? Add your event in a couple of minutes. Add your eventStandard listing vs enriched entry page
Every race can sit on Race Calendar as a standard listing of basic information. Claim it and that listing becomes an enriched page with all your event details: photo-led, with your course map, distance options and, if you take entries with us, a one-tap Enter button, right where runners are already looking.

A photo if the organiser added one, a date and links out. Fine for being found.
Riverside Half Marathon
Photo, distances, an Enter from price and a one-tap Enter now - right in the search results.
Three steps, and only the third one involves money
Most organisers start by fixing their listing. Taking entries is there when you want it.
Claim your event
Create a free organiser account, find your race on Race Calendar and claim it. We check the claim and hand you the listing to add all the relevant information of your event, helping those searching on our calendar.
FreeEnrich the listing
Add your photo, description, start time, sat nav postcode, distances and prices. Upload a GPX and we draw the course map and elevation for you. Point the Enter button wherever you take entries today.
Free, no Stripe neededTake entries, when you are ready
Switch entries on, connect a Stripe account in your name and sell places from the same page. Waiting lists, ballots, transfers and refunds are built in.
Optional. Stripe Express account requiredAnd this is where runners land
Tap Enter on the card and the runner arrives on your full page: your photo, the key details, an Enter box for every distance, your event story, a course map with elevation, directions to the start and a form to reach you. All of it on the racecalendar.co.uk URL runners already find, and all of it free to set up.
One page, top to bottom
Every section works to inform the runner and get them entered.
- Hero with your event name
A full-width photo with your name, date and location laid over it. It carries straight through to every email you send, so your brand travels with the entry.
- Important information
The details runners hunt for - start time, sat nav postcode, entry deadline, surface - pinned in tidy boxes at the top instead of buried in a paragraph.
- All your entry options
Every distance, every price tier - affiliated, unaffiliated, early bird, junior - each with its own one-tap Enter. Anyone choosing the affiliated rate has their England Athletics number checked live at that moment, so the discount only reaches genuine members. Ballots and waiting lists slot in here too.
- About the event
Your description, plus the facts that build trust: capacity, licence body, and a link to last year’s results.
- What’s included
Chip timing, free photos, a goody bag, a medal - shown as clear icons so entrants see the value before they pay.
- Course map, drawn for you
Upload a GPX and the route, distance and total climb are drawn automatically. Add water-station pins along the line and a proper elevation profile - the detail runners ask about most.
- How to get there
An embedded map with a dropped pin, plus parking instructions and a what3words address for the exact start - no more “where do I go?” emails.
- Contact the organiser
A built-in form goes straight to your inbox. Runners reach you without your email ever being on show.
Why take entries with Race Calendar?
Because the runners are already here. Race Calendar ranks on the first page of Google for running race searches across the UK, and over a thousand runners a week arrive on the site looking for their next event. They come from Google, Bing and, increasingly, AI assistants like ChatGPT, and they're searching with intent: a distance, an area, a date.
Our filters do the rest. Runners narrow the calendar by postcode and radius, distance, area, city and name, so the people who see your event are the ones actually looking for a race like yours, near them, when they want to run it. Claim your listing and your event is on that page, with the Enter button right there. It costs nothing to list, and for most events it puts you in front of more of the right runners than a small marketing budget could buy.
If you take entries through us
One Enter button on the page you have just enriched, with everything behind it handled.
Paid straight to your bank
Every entry is paid into a Stripe account in your name. You are the merchant of record and we never hold your money.
Distances, tiers and caps
Multiple distances, early bird and club price tiers, minimum ages and a capacity cap per race that closes entries automatically.
Affiliation checked live
An England Athletics number is verified at the point of entry, so the affiliated rate only ever reaches genuine members.
Waiting lists that run themselves
When you sell out, a freed place is offered to the next person by email with a deadline to pay, and rolls on if they miss it.
Ballots, built in
Free registration during a window, a random draw, winners emailed a payment link, and places held back to invite directly.
Refunds and transfers
Full or partial refunds of the entry fee in a couple of clicks, under your own cancellation policy, and place transfers to a named person with your approval if you want it.
Enter friends and family
One person can enter a group in a single checkout without everyone needing an account first.
Your entrant list, always
A live entrant list in your portal and a clean CSV export whenever you need it for race day.
Branded emails
Confirmations, waiting list offers and ballot results all carry your event image, so your race looks like your race.
Waiting lists that email themselves
When your race fills up, the waiting list keeps working for you. A freed place is offered to the next person in line automatically, by email, with a deadline to pay. Miss the deadline and it moves to the next person. You do nothing.
Race fills
Entries hit your cap. New runners join the waiting list in order instead of being turned away.
A place frees up
Someone refunds or a place is released. The next person is emailed an offer with a countdown.
They pay, or it rolls on
They claim and pay within the window, or it passes to the next in line automatically.
Every step is emailed for you: joined the list, offered a place, place confirmed. No spreadsheets, no chasing.
Run a ballot, start to finish
Oversubscribed events can allocate places by random draw instead of first-come. People register free during a window, you draw when it closes, and winners get a payment link with a deadline. Hold back discretionary places to invite guests, elites or charity runners directly.
Free registration
Runners register during your window at no charge. One entry each, duplicates flagged for you.
The draw
You review the list and run a random draw. Winners up to your ballot places, the rest kept as a standby list.
Winners pay
Each winner is emailed a payment link and a deadline. Unpaid places roll to the next standby automatically.
Discretionary places let you invite chosen entrants directly, outside the draw. And you can open any leftover places for public sale in one click.
Places that move on, safely
Plans change. Rather than a refund request, or a stranger turning up wearing someone else's number, an entrant can pass their place to a named person. The place is held the whole time, so it never slips out to the public or the waiting list while it is being sorted.
The place is offered
The current entrant, or you, names who it should go to. They get an emailed invite with a deadline, and the place is held for them until it runs out.
The new runner pays
They go through the normal entry form and checkout, agreeing to your terms and giving their own details, so you end up with a proper entry rather than a name changed by hand.
The original is refunded
Only once the new payment has landed. If the invite is never taken up, it simply expires and the place returns to the original entrant, with nothing moved and nothing to unpick.
You decide per event: transfers off, allowed automatically, or every one approved by you first. You can also choose whether entrants may start a transfer themselves, or only you can.
One fee per entry. Card costs included.
Nothing to list, claim or enrich. If you take entries, the entrant pays a booking fee on top of your price. That fee covers us and card processing, and your full entry price is paid to your account.
No setup fee, no monthly cost, no contract. Waiting lists, ballots, refunds, course maps and CSV export are all included. You can also choose to cover the booking fee yourself, or split it, if you would rather advertise a single all-in price.
Work out your fee
The entrant pays the booking fee on top of your price, so your full entry price is paid to your account.
Figures assume a standard UK card. Stripe charges more for premium and international cards; that difference comes from the entry payment.

Built by a runner
Race Calendar is built by Ryan McLeod, a former GB international and twice British Half Marathon Champion, who returned to the sport after nearly a decade away and ran 2:19 at London 2026. It exists because organisers deserve a listings and entry platform that is comprehensive, honest about fees and easy to use.
